My time spent working on sketches, or simply scribbling my thoughts and thinking, is time spent both in my sanctuary and my prison. It is time spent where I am most comfortable and yet where I rarely escape from.
I have been known to bleed ink, bruise in shades of charcoal and break out in splotches of acrylic colors. Plagued with a need to write, draw… create, in some form or fashion, I use my Art n' Authoring as a way to express myself, exposing layers of myself. Each piece I create is a piece flaked off revealing more and more of my authentic self. Every detail, even in my simplest pieces, is there intentionally. And while I don’t have a favorite medium, always choosing the medium that best fits in the moment, there is no mistaking that “pen n’ paper” is my most used form of creative expression.
Pairing her art with her authoring, CourtneyDANIELLE is an internationally published author n' artist. She was first published at the age of sixteen and received her first literary award from the International Library of Poetry in1999. Following that, she received an award from the Syracuse Press Club in 2005. To date she has authored, illustrated and designed eight books, in multiple pennames and in various niches.
She creates her pieces as a way to express her thoughts and thinking -especially when talking, doesn’t feel like it’s enough. Her work is her way of inviting you into her world, even if only a small piece of it, and experiencing it as she does. And although some of her pieces seem to have a softer side to them, getting inspiration from the world around her, much of her work focuses on the every day survival that come from within, as she struggles with Depression and Anxiety.
Currently, CourtneyDANIELLE resides in Cortland, NY with her husband and family. Having attempted, over the last few years, to help others with their own Depression and Anxiety, with the hope that she might “cure” it one day -for everyone… she found that she was farther from the thriving she had hoped to achieve. For her, every day became more of a struggle than the day before. She is hoping that turning her attention to herself, to her art and authoring, will help her realize her full potential and her true purpose and maybe, if she cannot cure what ails her… she will, for the first time, heal from it.

Elemental Tarot for Kids
“Elemental Tarot For Kids, created by Rayne Storm and published by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd, is a 71 card Tarot deck, created for children nine years and up. What is so simplistically exceptional about this children’s tarot deck, is that anything considered scary or dark, such as the devil or death, has been omitted, specifically designed for a younger developing child. Rayne Storm has done an excellent job creating this deck, as it is the perfect way to give a child a source of positive reflection and answers to everyday concerns and spiritual curiosities. ... The book is well-written and informative, perfect for a child or an adult, revealing details about each card, important definitions and isolated symbolism. Practice worksheets, a test and certificate of achievement are including as well ... another great idea. I highly recommend the Elemental Tarot for Kids for those who have young people in their life that are showing an interest in oracles and divination.”

Elemental Tarot for Kids
“I am very excited to review “Elemental Tarot for Kids.” It comes packaged in the beautiful Shiffer packaging in a sturdy magnetic durable box. There are 71 illustrated cards in this Tarot set. The card stock is thick and not flimsy, and easy to shuffle. This set also includes a 96 page workbook. It must be said that the work book is amazing! When I first read about this deck I was very curious. I was very pleased that it was designed by a mom for her 9 year old son. When I received it I was a bit concerned that the “scary cards” were removed and changed. As a tarot reader I know there is no such thing as bad cards. Many adults still do not understand that concept so I can clearly see how some could be very scary for a 9 year old in the 4th or 5th grade. I decided to work through the work book. I was very pleased. It gives a great deal of guidance on responsibility. There is a lot of repetition and this is done in the way of puzzles, quizzes and exercises. The workbook is easy to understand and fun. I see many adults who struggle with the court cards but also many who struggle with a clear understanding of the elemental properties of the Tarot. This workbook gives kids a very clear understanding of concepts that they can add to as they grow. Rayne Storm also goes to great lengths to address ethics, respect and also teaches how we are responsible for our choices, actions, and behavior. Having a clear understanding of these truths provide an excellent foundation that the young tarot reader can take and use as their skills and knowledge evolve on their Spiritual Path. The author’s Earth Based Wisdom shines through this deck and is a wonderful tool and not necessarily just children. It is a great starting point for any beginner, or anyone who is looking for a different perspective.”

Everyday Magick for Children of Earth-Based Spiritual Families
“Rayne Storm does a delightful job of suggesting ideas throughout the year, and in “everyday” situations, in which you and your children can discover, create, and employ magick. She has done the legwork for you by providing simple projects you can can do together. This is not a book to simply give your child to distract them for a few hours; this is a treasure trove of projects to be done together. Whimsical rhymes throughout the title encourage fun, the brilliant colors encourage creativity, and the suggestions for projects will help you to open your own eyes to the magick all around you. Turn to any page for ideas for rituals, Sabbat celebrations, and positive promotion of your inner child.”
